A client brought in their Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15BD with freezing and unexpected shutdowns caused by overheating. The cooling system was heavily clogged with dust and the thermal paste had deteriorated. We cleaned the fan and heatsink, replaced the thermal paste, reassembled the laptop and fully tested it.
